At the start of 2017 I was approached by the Apple team in Birmingham following their recent move into the incredible '128 New Street' building on Corporation Street. The idea was to host a 'Photo Walk' around Birmingham that was limited to around 15 spaces. The main focus of the walk was 'Ordinary Life' which would allow participants to explore techniques for making the ordinary look extraordinary on the streets of Birmingham.
The walk itself started off on Corporation Street, went through Cathedral Square, Colmore Row, Victoria Square and back to New Street Station. Despite the bad weather earlier in the day, as soon as we got the walk going, the sun came out which was fantastic for everyone. (i'll thank my Father for that one, who sadly passed away 2 days before this event).
I have gathered together 20 photos I took on the walk which were captured entirely on the iPhone 7 Plus. After getting a few tips from the great guys in the Apple Store, I think I may start to use my iPhone more to capture moments on my photography ventures.
This whole experience was obviously a fantastic opportunity for myself to work with such a large company, but the best thing I was able to do was to exercise my right as a photographer in assisting & inspiring fellow creatives, whatever their experience or skill-level. A true privilege.
